Mission Statement

At Kayleigh's Little Grove, my mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and enabling environment where children are supported to learn, develop and thrive, in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and through high quality after-school care.

Safeguarding is paramount within my setting. I am fully committed to creating a secure, inclusive space where children feel protected, respected and emotionally supported. I recognise that strong, secure relationships form the foundation of all effective learning and wellbeing.

For early years children, I deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences that support development across the prime and specific areas of learning. Through purposeful planning, meaningful observation and reflective practice, I promote communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional growth, alongside early literacy and mathematical understanding.

For school aged children attending after school, I provide a calm and structured environment that offers opportunities to unwind, socialise, build independence,  and extend learning through enriching experiences. My approach supports school readiness in the early years and continued confidence, resilience and curiosity as children progress through their primary education.

I am dedicated to inclusive practice, celebrating diversity and ensuring equal opportunities for all children. By working in close partnership with families, I aim to enhance children's cultural capital, broaden their experiences and support their development both academically and emotionally.
